Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta tasting held in Toronto

Last June 7th, 2013. Le Treport Convention Hall was the venue of an exclusive dinner, which was followed by a cigar tasting. The private event counted with the participation of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto and with the Habanos Exclusive Distributor, Havana House.

The event counted as well with the assistance of over 170 Canadian businessmen from several areas of trade and investment between Cuba and Canada, most of them Habanos enthusiasts.

A group of local authorities as well as the Cuban General Consuls in Canada were also present.

The welcome words to the assistance were given by the General Consul of Cuba In Toronto Mr Javier Domokos Ruiz, followed by Mr. Arturo Mejuto, President of Havana House, who highlighted the presence of the La Casa del Habano managers of Toronto, Montreal and Windsor.

During the evening, the new Cuban Ambassador in Canada H.E. Julio Garmendia Peña was introduced to the business community of Canada’s economic capital city.

After the dinner, and in the open air spaces of Le Treport, the attendance had the chance to enjoy a selection of Habanos of prestigious brands such as Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta in their sizes Montecristo Open Eagle, Petit Churchills and Mille Fleurs which were very much appreciated.

During the dinner the attendees had the opportunity given by Havana House to enjoy Cuban music.

At the end of the activity, the personalities attending the dinner received the new book “The World of the Habano“.
