Cohiba ignites the Canadian market with its new vitola: Ambar
On April 8th, 2025, Cohiba lit up the Canadian cigar scene with the official launch of its newest vitola in the regular line: Ambar. The event was nothing short of a celebration, bringing together over 130 Habanos enthusiasts, including retailers, outlets enrolled in the Habanos Programs, industry insiders, and special guests, including the champions of the V Edition of the Habanos World Challenge competition and the General Consul of Cuba in Toronto. It was an unforgettable evening dedicated to the passion and culture of Habanos.
Held in true Cuban style, the night was full of energy and surprises. A special moment that delighted the attendees was a blind tasting competition that challenges the sense of the most passionate and knowledgeable Habanos lovers. The attendees also enjoyed two standout releases from 2024 in the Canadian market, presented by Havana House Cigar and Tobacco Merchants: Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.3 and Quai D’Orsay No. 52, featuring to the lively rhythms of a traditional Cuban band.

The true highlight of the night was the much-anticipated debut of the Cohiba Ambar (53 ring gauge x 132 mm length). This exceptional Habano offered a true pleasure – “Placeres”- to the attendees, delivered a full sensory experience of rich, complex, and deeply satisfying. Its aroma lingered long after the final puff, a reminder of the craftsmanship and heritage that make Cuban cigars legendary.
