With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of Arnaldo Vichot, a true icon of the Cuban cigar industry. For decades, he served as master blender at the Francisco Germán Hand-Rolled Tobacco Factory, commercially known as the Partagás Factory. His talent, dedication, and passion for the Habano made him an undisputed reference for generations of cigar makers and lovers of Cuban tobacco.
Today, after 93 years of life, the world of Premium cigars bids farewell to a master committed to excellence and to elevating the quality of the Habano. His crowning achievement, the creation of the blend for the Gran Reserva Lusitanias, remains a testament to his mastery and vision, a legacy that will endure in the history of Premium cigars worldwide.
Thanks to his passion, effort, and dedication, Vichot was honored with the Habano Award in the Production category in 2013, a distinction that recognizes those who have left a significant mark on the making and refinement of the Habano.
