Habanos Festival in the Cuban capital
The traditional Habanos Festival was inaugurated last February 24th, at Tropicana Cabaret. This renowned event, which will last until February 28th, gathers exclusive distributors, professional and lovers of good smoking. In this opportunity, the Festival will celebrate the 510th Anniversary of the arrival of Habanos to the Old World, as well as five years of the commercial launching of the Trinidad trademark.
Around 900 participants from 48 countries will take part at this event, a propitious opportunity for exchanging criteria and experiences regarding the quality of the Cuban cigar and the culture derived from it.
At the entry of the cabaret, each participant received a box of Trinidad cigars, with two special cigar band, a Robusto A and a Laguito, in honor of the 5th anniversary of this cigar brand.
The exquisite dishes served were accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon / Joan Sarda 1999, Penedes and Havana Club Rum 7 years old. Cigars of the Trinidad brands’ Fundadores, Robusto Especial and Coloniales were tried at this special evening.
The Habanos smokers enjoyed the famous artistic show of the Tropicana Cabaret and the final show with the performance of Panchito and All Stars bands.
Among the already traditional activities included in the program are the visits to tobacco plantations, the Commercial Fair, the Cigar Fans’ Seminar and the always-awaited Gala Dinner, with its auction and granting of Havana Cigar Man annual awards. Likewise, the House of Habanos No. 89 would be inaugurated, at the Melia Habana Hotel, with the presence of the renowned tobacco cultivator Robaina.
