Cohiba 55 Aniversario – Launch in Caracas
On September 28th, 2023, Venezuela’s tobacco tradition experienced a memorable moment with the introduction of the Cohiba 55 Aniversario Edicion Limitada 2021. This Habano pays tribute to the world’s most prestigious Habanos brand, which dates back to 1966 and was initially intended as a state gift for diplomatic personalities. The launch took place at “Robusto”, the first Habanos Specialist in Venezuela, strengthening the culture and enjoyment of the finest premium tobacco in the country.
Kukenan Tobacco Trading, the official distributor of Habanos, S.A. in Venezuela, celebrated the arrival of this Limited Edition, marking a milestone since the company began operations in 2021. The Cohiba 55 Aniversario Edicion Limitada is an exquisite exemplar designed for success, as evidenced by the name of its vitola de galera called “Victorias.” It features an additional band denoting its two years of aging, and a third band commemorating the brand’s founding year, adding distinction and refinement to this Habano with a 57 ring gauge and 150 mm length.
The evening was further enriched by the presence of Ron Santa Teresa, which delighted attendees with its Bicentenario rum, a blend of reserves up to 35 years old, considered one of the jewels of the house founded by the Vollmer family. Additionally, an exclusive presentation and tasting of Santa Teresa 1796 Speyside rum were offered, aged 13 months in former whisky barrels from this Scottish region, guided by the expert hands of master rum maker Nancy Duarte and global marketing manager Marlín Guzman. The effervescent touch of the night was provided by the prestigious Champagne Taittinger Brut Reserve.
