Condolence Message
We have received the sad news of the death of Mrs. Emilia Tamayo.
Mrs. Tamayo worked in the tobacco industry for more than 20 years, being the first woman to manage a Cigar Factory, and devoted at about a decade as Director of the famous and renowned Habanos Factory El Laguito.
She was the first woman to receive the Habano Award in the category of Production as a faithful promoter and contribution to the Habanos industry and its commercialization.
Corporación Habanos, S.A. mourns the loss of an extremely valuable and beloved colleague, who will remain forever in the memory of those who knew her and of a sector she was able to honour with her dedication and wisdom.
