3rd Habanos Day in Switzerland

Last october 28th, 2017 Intertabak AG, the Exclusive Distributor of for  Switzerland, celebrated the 3rd Habanos Day where more than 210 aficionados and experts from the Swiss cigar community gathered at the Giardino Verde near Zürich and enjoyed the evening in the tropical atmosphere.

Special guests included the Excmo. Cuban Ambassador, Mr. Manuel Aguilera, Mr. Gregor Rutz, National Counselor and Mr. Heinrich Villiger, Vice president of Intertabak AG.

The guests also had the chance to attend to different workshops dedicated to the Habano. Among the activities, the attendees enjoyed matching with rum- and cocktail tasting, and the process of Cuban rum production. The“longest ash” contest was also made and the symbiosis between Habanos from Cohiba brand and the Swiss watchmaking manufacturer Zenith, which celebrated Cohiba‘s 50th Anniversary with a Limited Edition of the chronograph “El Primero”.

Was a great Cuban night in which the guests enjoyed a delicious exotic dinner while being entertained by Cuban musicians and dancers. It truly felt like being in Havana itself!

The guests also took part in an auction for a Partagás Serie D No. 4 Reserva “Cosecha 2000” Humidor and a bottle of Havana Club Limited Edition, whose proceeds were fully donated to the children’s aid organization Camaquito.

Also exciting was the prize draw for a flight ticket to Havana by the travel agency Latin America Tours. But the evening’s highlight was definitely the official launch of the new Edición Regional Suiza 2017, Sancho Panza Valientes, which the guests were offered to smoke late night.

Sancho Panza Valientes with vitola de galera Montesco (55 ring gauge x 130mm) comes in boxes of 10 cigars. While it’s already at La Casa del Habano in Switzerland (Zurich, Basel and Lugano), it will be available at Habanos Specialist stores in the country starting November 7th
