Celebration of the 15th Anniversary of LA CASA DEL HABANO – LISBON
Once again, the Embassy of Cuba in Portugal opens its doors to celebrate a new anniversary of La Casa del Habano – Lisbon. Organized by the embassy itself, Empor S.A. (Exclusive Distributor of Habanos in Portugal), and La Casa del Habano Lisbon, the event took place on February 9th to celebrate the 15 years since the opening of the first Casa del Habano in Portugal.
The evening began with welcoming words from the hosts, Her Excellency Mrs. Zelmys María Dominguez Cortina, Ambassador and Charge d’Affaires of Cuba in Portugal, along with Mr. Pedro Ramos Rocha, General Director of Empor S.A., and the franchisee Mr. Luis Ramalho. They all expressed the great pride of having a store belonging to the “La Casa del Habano” franchise network in the Portuguese capital.
The event was in line with the luxury and tradition concept of this franchise, offering a memorable night for over 90 guests, including ambassadors from different countries accredited in Portugal. Attendees had the opportunity to taste two highly appreciated Habanos by the most expert aficionados: the Rey del Mundo Templarios (54 x 120 mm), Regional Edition 2021 for the Portuguese market, and the Bolívar New Gold Medal (48 x 165mm long), an exclusive vitola for La Casa del Habano introduced in 2023 during the XXIII Habano Festival.
The Habanos were paired with a selection of premium beverages specially chosen for the occasion, including Ron Havana Club, White and Red Wine from Quinta dos Carvalhais, Nordés Gin, as well as cocktails with Sandeman Port Wine, Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old Whisky, and Champagne Taittinger Brut Reserve, among others.

The activity was entertained by a group of Cuban musicians who managed to recreate an authentic Cuban atmosphere, complementing the experience alongside one of its best ambassadors, the Habano.
La Casa del Habano-Lisbon, located at Rua Nova dos Mercadores, Parque das Nações, Lisbon, opened its doors as Casa del Habano in 2008, preceded by the El Habanero store, opened since 2005. Its personalized service, smoking terrace, and wide variety of accessories for smokers and beverages to accompany or harmonize the Habanos have made it a regular place for customers to enjoy a good #habanosmoment.
