On September 16th, 2022, in the picturesque historic center of the city of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia, the XII Habanos Day was held, main event dedicated to the Habanos’world, especially to Romeo y Julieta brand with its already presented Línea de Oro.
The event began with a welcome in which more than 270 attendees wore carnival masks and enjoyed the classic glass of Champagne and cocktails made from fruits and liquors. After that a master lecture on the History of the legendary Romeo y Julieta Brand took place and was given by Dimitriv Drutza, master for the Habanos Academy.
The Habanos Day culminated with a Gala dinner, in which the participants had the opportunity to enjoy at the beginning of the Habano Romeo y Julieta No.2 accompanied by melodies from the classical repertoire performed by a small chamber orchestra.
The people present there also enjoyed the star of the evening, the three Habanos that make up the Romeo y Julieta Línea de Oro, starting with Dianas (52 ring gauge x 145 mm long), followed by Hidalgos (56 ring gauge x 135 mm long) and ending with Nobles (56 ring gauge x 135 mm long) These magnificent Habanos were paired with Austrian and Spanish wines.
An exquisite gastronomy and an entertainment program that included an act of Shakespeare’s tragedy, a one-act performance of the ballet Carmen and the operatic voices of the city’s theater, were part of a magical evening. All under the music of a live orchestra that gave a special touch to the Gala. There were also interactive competitions and the awarding of the classic prizes by customer categories, ending with an auction in which lovers and aficionados welcomed with great expectation the last lot, reserved for the No. 1 box of traditional Russian craftsmanship in the “Palej” style, third limited edition of the “Art Nouveau” Series, with the repackaging of the Vintage Romeo y Julieta Habanos, Exhibicion No. 3, 46 ring gauge x 143 mm length, 2005.
The dinner concluded with chamber music and the best wishes to meet again in another of Russia’s cities where Habano culture and the world of Habanos flourish.
